Public bug reported: steps to reproduce:
1. start `gedit` 2. produce a line with > 1000000 characters, e.g. with `ipython` in `gnome-terminal` where you can run `"1" * 1000000` and select all output and copy it 3. paste into `gedit` Parts of the line seems to be rendered over other parts of the line. This doesn't occur with 100000 characters. See attached screenshot for an example.
