Oneiric's gnome-screensaver doesn't contain actual animated screensavers anymore, so you can't be experiencing this issue on Oneiric. I am closing this bug again. I'm testing this on Fedora 10 with Gnome 2.24.2. Seems that everything is working well here. Bump this. Worked fine on Ubuntu/Xubuntu Feisty, but on fresh install of Gutsy it freezes exactly as described above. Randomly freezes, sometimes soon, sometimes after many images. Not 100% sure but I think sometimes it's come back to life after a long long pause. Can nobody make any sense of this? I have the exact same problem still. I am running Hardy Heron - upgraded from Gutsy. Intel 945 onboard graphics card. GLSlideshow displays a few images before getting stuck on one until you move the mouse to end the slideshow. Happens consistently every time. I have the same problem on a Dell Inspiron, also with the Intel 945GM. After some pictures are shown, it freezes.
