I have not noticed this problem since upgrading to Hardy - it may be fixed. Hi I have the same problem. I am using evolution exchange 2.12.0. I synchronized evolution to the exchange after a long time. After it got synchronized all my emails from inbox folder only disappeared. I am only getting mails in inbox which are sent after that synchronization.Using web interface I can see all my mails are still there in exchange. Some one on the evolution list recommended this and it worked fine for me. Try: exit Evolution in a terminal window enter evolution --force-shutdown backup your $HOME/.evolution ( tar cvfz myevo.tgz .evolution ) rm -rf .evolution/exchange/ .evolution/mail/exchange/ restart evolution ( it may take a few minutes to re-sync ). That's interesting. It could be something different, or a host of things. Even though I deleted spam assassin and Razor, I did have the problem repeat itself recently, so I agree that may not be the root cause. I have a similar problem. My work laptop runs XP and Ubuntu (formerly Feisty, now Gutsy). My work emails are on an MS Exchange 2003 server. Until recently, I could read, send and file emails using either Outlook under XP, or Evolution with Ubuntu. Since updating to Gutsy, some emails which are visible in my inbox under Outlook are not visible under Evolution (Gutsy). The missing emails are, however, visible if I look in my inbox using MS WebAccess (either under XP or Ubuntu). I am not certain, but it seems that the missing emails are those which I have read and deleted (only on handheld) on my Blackberry. All emails are still visible from my home pc, which is still running Feisty. This bug has something to do with Spam Assassin. But simply deactivating SpamAssassin had no effect. However, when I uninstalled the spam assassin packages and the Razor Package, the problem stopped happening. I only figured this out through a bunch of trail and error. I think if you uninstall these packages using synaptic, you won't have the problem any more. The only problem is that then you won't have any spam filtering.
