[Bug 1725371] Re: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window
It works fine in the current version, unless you click on the location bar where middle click open the selector folder in a new tab but that's a design decision from upstream and not a bug ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1725371 Title: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1725371/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1725371] Re: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1725371 Title: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1725371/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1725371] Re: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window
Just to show that middle click is correctly defined as default to lower gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences action-middle-click- titlebar 'lower' to see I am not using wayland loginctl show-session c2 -p Type Type=x11 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1725371 Title: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1725371/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1725371] Re: 17.10 nautilus 3.26.0 fails to recognize mouse middle button to lower window
** Description changed: It's very handy to send any open Ubuntu application window to below all - other open windows (it says open yet now occluded) by clicking mouse + other open windows (it stays open yet now occluded) by clicking mouse middle button on window title bar (opposite of left mouse click to bring to focus front) ... this works fine on all Ubuntu 17.10 applications except fails on Ubuntu 17.10's file explorer nautilus 3.26.0 which has a non-standard looking title bar. This behavior continues to be OK on all other 17.10 applications... Nautilus worked on previous Ubuntu releases ... I hope other apps refrain from using this new window behavior Any ideas on why nautilus breaks this convention? Or how to fix it?
