see link below: http://blog.blackdown.de/2007/05/19/lastfm-for-rhythmbox-new-style/ I added the repositories mentioned in the blog. Then the update manager found an update for Rhythmbox. So, I updated Rhythmbox and the problem went away. Hi Harm I couldn't reproduce this issue using rhythmbox 0.11.3 from Hardy Heron, i can listen to Similar artist without having last.fm plugin configured, just activated, does this happen to you every time, even with a new account?. I created a new account and logged in to test it. However, I still get the handshake error and the 'Couldn't start playback' message. This is on a clean profile with Rhythmbox 0.11.2.
