[Bug 191108] Re: nautilus crashed always during opening my musik folder
what version of ubuntu are you using? the log seems to show that nautilus is not crashing but rather than you interrupted it and the issue seems to be due to esound -- nautilus crashed always during opening my musik folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 191108] Re: nautilus crashed always during opening my musik folder
i'm using the 7.10 version and nautilus is the version 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7 you are right, was interrupting nautilus, because this was the only way to get a backtrace. otherwise, nautilus gets frozen and after forcing quit nautilus is restarting and GDB says: no stack. i have the esound-common package installed, version 0.2.38-0ubuntu4.1 im sorry, but i didnt find any debugging symbols for this package. -- nautilus crashed always during opening my musik folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

i'm sorry but i don't know how to produce a crash report or backtrace for nautilus. this happens ALWAYS opening my music folder containing 700 MB of mp3 data: first nautilus opens the folder as normal and respons to my input for some secounds. After 2-5 secounds nautilus get frozen. there is no crash report in the /var/crash directory and starting nautilus with GDB and debug symbols GDB says: (gdb) run Starting program: /usr/bin/nautilus [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread -1227884880 (LWP 14618)] [New Thread -1229780080 (LWP 14621)] [Thread -1229780080 (LWP 14621) exited] Program exited normally. (gdb) thread apply all bt (gdb) backtrace full No stack. [Bug 191108] Re: nautilus crashed always during opening my musik folder
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- nautilus crashed always during opening my musik folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
