[Bug 237417] Re: evolution calendar crashes when accessing Groupwise calendar

2008-07-23 Thread Jeff Stacey
I agree.

It appears that evolution 2.22.3.1-0ubuntu1 fixes the problem. The
Calendar and Addressbook lookups work again.

So the latest update that came out for evolution...a couple days prior
to July 22 (when I am writing this) looks like it fixes this issue...the
calendar and busy search and everything works without crashing evolution

[Bug 237417] Re: evolution calendar crashes when accessing Groupwise calendar

2008-06-20 Thread bpedman
I am having the same problem. I know that this is fixed in the 2.23
version of Evolution. I was looking at the ChangeLog for evolution and
there were several groupwise issues that are fixed.

I noticed that Intrepid will have 2.23 of Evolution so I went ahead and
did the risky thing of installing from the Intrepid repository. I was
able to install it and it fixed this issue.

Upgrading to the Intrepid release had to install several other things
and kinda broke my system so I downgraded back to evolution 2.22. Is
there any way to get a backport done? Or look at the commits that were
done to evolution and commit the fix to the 2.22 branch as well? I mean,
since this is the LTS version of Ubuntu it would be nice if the
groupwise support for evolution actually worked nicely.

I had some more time this morning and I managed to capture the

Here is the backtrace.

I can not really get a backtrace as evolution itself does not crash but here is
the gdb output.
I hope this helps

[Bug 237417] Re: evolution calendar crashes when accessing Groupwise calendar

2008-06-04 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be
dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch
nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on
the crash report you wish to submit.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

As evolution does not core dump, the calendar and memo just quits
unexpectedly this will not auto generate a bug report.

Maybe evolution-data-server is crashing, can you try to get a backtrace
of it? Please take a look to
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the
bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.
