[Bug 238451] Re: evolution crashed when validating a webcal password
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New = Invalid -- evolution crashed when validating a webcal password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238451 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 238451] Re: evolution crashed when validating a webcal password
I have no file in the /var/crash directory. The only trace I could find, except the 3 attached files previously sent, is a series of logs in the /var/log directory, in message, kern.log and syslog. As the bug occurs very often, I have a series of similar logs at different times, looking like this : evolution[6660]: segfault at eip b6200af0 esp bff00b30 error 4 evolution[11254]: segfault at eip b61d99a0 esp bfe76150 error 4 evolution[17711]: segfault at eip b61509a0 esp bff00f20 error 4 Hope this will help. -- evolution crashed when validating a webcal password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238451 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 238451] Re: evolution crashed when validating a webcal password
Sorry I had not understood how to enable apport so far. A new bug report for the same problem is now issued thru apport : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/238736 -- evolution crashed when validating a webcal password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238451 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
