bug already exists in gedit 2.28.0 (karmic) search for ä replaces ä AND Ä with auml; this couldn't be a feature. the bug with ß couldn't i confirm in 2.28.0. it seems to be faultless. same with the colspan-problem. winky, if check the option Match case in the searchreplace dialog, this works? However, thanks for confirming that the issue with 'ß' is no longer present. lol i'm a f++king idiot ^^ of course. if i check the option casesensitive YES OR NO??? the tool work like it should. at most the problem exists between keyboard and chair. i'm so sorry.
