[Bug 243994] Re: drag file from desktop causes X server to reset

2008-08-01 Thread Sebastien Bacher
the xorg log shows that the xorg server is crashing, reassigning the bug
to it, you might want to enable appot to get a crash file for this one

2008-07-03 Thread A. Walton
Thanks for the quick turnaround! It's a wild crash, but it does look
like it might be coming from somewhere inside of X. If you can reproduce
this, can you install the debug symbols for libORBit, Cairo and libgdk,
and get a full backtrace? You can find help with these operations here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace, or if you have any specific
questions, feel free to ask. Thanks again!

Thanks for your bug report. Please try to obtain a backtrace
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the
bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem. As
this may be an Xorg crash, you should also attach your
/var/log/Xorg.0.log file, and please let us know what window manager you
are using.

[Bug 243994] Re: drag file from desktop causes X server to reset

2008-06-29 Thread Lily
This backtrace was produced by attaching gdb to the nautilus process,
then dragging a file from the desktop into a tree-view nautilus window.

I ran gdb from a console, since this causes the X server (and my X
session) to reset.

I am using gnome WM.
