nautilus shows that your browing this directory, the gnome-panel menu is
an another software and just displaying bookmarks, that's not a bug

Yes; here it is. The «Screenshot example» icon on the desktop changed to
a grey one, but icnos in «Places»  and directly on the panel (the
unnamed folder) have not.
