[Bug 259802] Re: Imported Calendars (csv, vcal, ical) fail to become visible on evolution after import completed.

2009-06-03 Thread Mistofelees
I'm having the same problem in two of my computers as well as two of my
friends. It gives some funny feelings about Evolution, if the
developers don't want to read error reports. In this case there has been
error reports about this same case over half a year,

If you want more information, please ask and describe what it is you
want. If a rapport comes from somebody not involved in the development
of the program, she doesn't know the fancy terms you are using in your
own circles.

I tought I could take Evolution for a system wide calendar system in our
EDU, but if this is the sittuation, I will try to find some other
program.

One problem is that Evolution is packaked to Ubuntu and specially to
Remix (9.04). It got to be left out.

That's a pity. I 'll look for some other program than evolution.

I'm having the very same problem as pedro did. importing a csv file with
appointments in it , made with outlook 2000 appear as contacts in
evolution.

I can't install anything on the outlook running computer, so I need
something on my ubuntu box to be able to read the appointments in
evolution.

with an example i mean a csv or the file you're using, importing an
appointment works fine for me, having the affecting file would be really
helpful to see where's the issue, thanks.

Hi Pedro

What do you mean by "submit example to the report"? I'm afraid I don't
understand what this means.

My appointments appear as contacts. I'm not sure if I can be more
specific than that. Please advise.

Thank you.
David

Additionally, I have just discovered that the calendar did import, but
they are visible as contacts and not appointments.
