I have this problem on one of my laptops while using sound-juicer v2.26.1. CD tray comes out when I run the `eject` command, as expected. This works fine here (i386). Do you doing a gconftool-2 -g /apps/sound-juicer/eject ? And sound-juicer uses nautilus-cd-burner for ejecting, does nautilus-cd- burner works fine for you? Not fixed for me, after upgrading from Hardy to Intrepid. I'm currently running with amd64 arch, and all most recent updates: sound-juicer 2.24.0-0ubuntu1 linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic 2.6.27-7.12 lspci reports: 00:06.0 IDE interface: nVidia Corporation CK804 IDE (rev f2) 00:07.0 IDE interface: nVidia Corporation CK804 Serial ATA Controller (rev f3) 00:08.0 IDE interface: nVidia Corporation CK804 Serial ATA Controller (rev f3) The DVD drive is reported by cat /proc/scsi/sg/device_strs as: LITE-ON COMBO SOHC-5236VR$0C What else do you need to know? gdm trace? The problem appears to be fixed.
