Umm. I found that i didn't need to click on the icon to change the volume. When my mouse arrow is over the speaker icon my mouse wheel can roll the volume up and down. Clicking on the icon is a good way to quickly mute the volume, which i like. @Sebastien, I discovered that there are two issues, one that happens when I set totem volume to maximum (1) and the other when I set the totem volume to a value lower (2) than maximum: In the case (1) the issue happens only when I move totem player to the bottom of my desktop in a way that its volume control, once clicked on opened, go above the gnome apps bar: so the volume control is always resetted to a lower value. The same issue happens if I totally maximize totem player window: in fact in this way the totem volume control always goes up the gnome apps bar. In the case (2) the issue is always present but it'is almost invisible: in fact every time I click on the totem volume control and I do nothing (that is, after clicking on it I click on another point of totem window in order to close the control) the volume is always lowered but just about 2% or 3%. I test this on Hardy Heron x86_64 (fully updated) and totem 2.22.1. Have you the opportunity to test these in Intrepid?
