[Bug 314325] Re: Mail labels removed

2010-09-23 Thread delance
I have also this bug with Evolution. Labels are not remembered and I use also
an IMAP server. I use it to sort Launchpad questions I answered. Perhaps
importance is low. It will simply means I will lost some of threads I'm
supposed to help in Launchpad, by removing them accidentally.
Could you tell me what I can do to make progress this issue ?
I sent a confirmation to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580072

[Bug 314325] Re: Mail labels removed

2010-07-08 Thread Euperia
I and a sysadmin have done some more research into this and it seems
that the problem is not with Evolution but with the IMAP server. We
are using dovecot and it doesn't appear to be storing the labels in the
mails.

To confirm I tried setting labels with Thunderbird too, with the same
problem happening.

Thanks
Andrew

Re: [Bug 314325] Re: Mail labels removed

2009-02-26 Thread emaddox
For receiving email I am using an imap server with ssl.
If I label one of the mails in my inbox for example with
personal the entry in my inbox gets a blue text color.
If I shutdown my computer and start the computer again and start
evolution again the message is still labeled.

If I switch from work to home or vice versa, the label is gone.

Hi

Sorry for late reply. I am using the last LTS release (8.04) and can't
upgrade yet. I do have 8.10 on a laptop but not used evolution on my work
email account. Will try this on that later today.

Regards
Andrew

Status in “evolution” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

 Bug description:
 Binary package hint: evolution

 Evolution 2.22.3.1
 Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy LTS

I have added new labels such as 'To Action', 'Reference' and applied these
to emails in my IMAP inbox. The colours change fine but when I re-open
evolution it removes all labels from mail.

This seems to be happening when I get new mail and the new mails are
filtered. I have checked my filters and there are none that do anything
with labels, just ones that move mail or delete it.

I just noticed that after about one hour the labels are already gone:
without closing evolution.

Re: [Bug 314325] Re: Mail labels removed

2009-02-26 Thread Euperia
Hi

I can confirm the issue is also with Ubuntu 8.10 Gutsy and Evolution 2.24.3
and can reproduce it.

1. In the inbox, select some mail and label them.
2. Go to another folder that has not been looked at recently. This will
check the imap server for new mail in that folder
3. If new mail is delivered to inbox, do a send/receive (I sent one from my
gmail account)
4. Go back to inbox and labels have disappeared.

The issue seems to be related to checking other imap folders and new mail
being delivered.

It would be great if this issue was fixed in time for 9.04.

Regards
Andrew

Evolution 2.24.3

Same problem. After restarting evolution the labels like personal or
work are lost in my imap mail box. Does anybody know how I can fix
this?
