I'm experiencing the same issue on Jaunty (it works in Intrepid). gome-system-monitor correctly displays the network usage , the system monitor applet not! I m using a 2 second to refreshing my graph. I can open a bug on bugzilla.gnome.org. Mouse over a graph does nothing. Thanks for the report, it's the same if you open the gnome-system- monitor ? could you test the same as well with ntop? I'm using Ubuntu 8.10; gnome-applets 2.24.1 I don't test if in the gnome-system-monitor is the same. I will test it a next time... In Ubuntu 7.10 gnome-applets was show the graph correctly. (I home, not sure).
