Sebastion,

Thanks for your help - or, more accurately, your attempts to get
information about what I was encountering so that you could help me.
However, I just have received help from a computer service guy, Brian
Lane, who showed me what I was doing wrong in trying to erase incorrect
data on Evolution - Calendar. I can now erase calendar listings, if
necessary.

Regards, Jim Bralla

Mr. Bacher,
Thanks for your response to my message, but regret that I don't quite
understand your question. I still have not solved the problem.
When I delete the incorrect birthday, in the Personal Information
portion of Evolution - Contacts, it justs pops up again.
Regards, Jim Bralla

Re: [Bug 321936] Re: In the calendar section of Evolution, I am unable to erase incorrect birthday entries.

2009-01-29 Thread jim bralla
Dear Mr. Vilavicencio,

Thank you for responding to my message about my problem.

I don't know if the problem can be reproduced, but I know, partially,
how it happened. I did not intentionally enter the incorrect dates. I
was entering data in the Contacts section of Evolution for family
members and friends. Somehow the date on which I was working (December
19, for example) got entered in Evolution as the wedding anniversary of
the family whose Personal Information I was entering. I don't know what
I did that caused this to happen. The dates, used by Evolution, of
course, were completely wrong. It did not enter 2008 as the year of the
wedding. How it got the year it used, I don't know. When I tried to
delete that information, the program would not accept my deletion. I
even went back to the contacts section, Personal Information, and
deleted the date with the delete key or backspace key. The anniversary
date location in the form was then blank, but the erroneous date
reappeared as soon as I clicked OK. I have now discovered that by
clicking the down arrow at that location and clicking "none", is does
delete, so my immediate problem is solved. It would seem that Evolution
should allow deletion with the delete and backspace keys.

Regards,Jim Bralla
