The log file was produced on intrepid using rhythmbox 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4.3 So the mentioned fix should be already in. Apparently the problem *is* the filename. The files, however, start out with innocuous names like hr2_wissenswert_20090106.mp3. When using the MTP plugin, a new file name seems to be constructed from the id3 tags. From skimming the code I've seen that some file name sanitation is done. The amount of necessary sanitation seems to be derived from the target filesystem type. With rhythmbox 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4.3 on intrepid I find the same behavior. Using this version i produced the attached log file. Note that there are two files transferred to the palm. One shows up in the log as file:///tmp/Redaktion%20Der%20Tag-Die%20Kunst%20des%20Lachens%20-%20Schlu%C3%9F%20mit%20dem%20Ernst%20des%20Lebens.mp3 This one is fine. The other one is file:///tmp/D%C3%B6rte%20Hinrichs%20und%20Hans%20Rubinich-Der%20Kick%20beim%20Kicken:%20Fu%C3%9Fball%20st%C3%A4rkt%20Jungen%20und%20M%C3%A4dchen..mp3 which has the evil : in the file path and fails to appear on the palm.
