Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

I've just noticed (this is a regression from Intrepid) that when I try
to enter a four digit unicode character by means of the "Hold down
Ctrl+Shift, type U, followed by hex digits, release Ctrl+Shift" method
(specifically, 20AC == euro-currency symbol), that gnome-terminal only
permits the entry of three hex digits. (The full four digit code is
accepted by other programs - I tested thunderbird and xchat).
