I thin its funny that wanting Ubuntu to not rape the environment and my battery is a wish list item. Clearly there is a problem with Canonical's view of their impact. An easy way to check is by putting the machine in a totally dark room, the screen should not be glowing. This is a bug because its not Green. Global warming is a very serious threat and I wish Canonical would do more to help. I fail to see the point of a screen saver that is attempting to display a perfectly black, but instead displays a grey screen which is waisting the life, using Co2, eating up my battery and burning out my display.
