Re: [Bug 394727] Re: Grub error message on first re-boot
Thank you for reassigning the bug to gdm. I did not know the difference. Version of Ubuntu was 9.10 phase 2 with updates. I am now running phase 2 without updates, and there is no problem. To make the commands you suggest -ls -ld /var/lib/gdm -id gdm -dpkg -l gdm I will have to install the updates, and copy the information to paper, reinstall a stable ubuntu, and make up an email message with the information. I will do that. Is there a way to copy, cut, and paste from a text-based terminal window? I am more familiar with the gui process than text On Thu, Jul 2, 2009 at 8:19 AM, Sebastien Bacher seb...@ubuntu.com wrote: could you run: - ls -ld /var/lib/gdm - id gdm - dpkg -l gdm and copy those informations to the bug? -- Grub error message on first re-boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394727 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- Grub error message on first re-boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394727 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
