I try to reproduce this in Karmic up to date with rhythmbox 0.12.3 and works fine for me (when I close rhythmbox is still there such as system icon). Can you try to run a upgrade for your system or upgrade your actually rhythmbox to latest version and then try to reproduce this error. Hi, rhythmbox icon appears in dock but when I close the window, it close totally, It doesn't keep running in dock. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty.
