[Bug 41030] Re: Nautilus Search

2006-04-27 Thread Sebastien Bacher
So the issue is with beagle, reassigning, thank you for your work on
that. Beagle is not meant to index everything on your disk, that might
be closed as NOTABUG by example

[Bug 41030] Re: [Bug 41030] Re: Nautilus Search

2006-04-26 Thread Dshepherd
Ok.. found a machine and did a fresh install of Ubuntu Dapper Beta. The
search thing worked great in nautilus. I could find files inside my home
directory and outside my home direcory. It was sweet. So without beagle's
backend the finding stuff thru nautilus is fine.

The search always starts in your home directory no matter what path you are
at... but I saw that as a filed bug already. Anything else that I can do.
I'm willing to help out.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use. Do you have
beagle installed or do you use the classic search feature?

I am using the Ubuntu Dapper Beta .(Last update was done: April 24, 2006). I
have beagle installed so from what I know I think nautilus is suppose to use
the beagle daemon. I haven't tested to see if the bug exists with using the
'classic search feature'
