User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009080315 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.18pre) Gecko/20090408 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Sunbird/0.9 After a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04, installed Sunbird via Add/Remote Programs. Then attempted to open calendar file that was exported from a Vista Business 32x native install. After opening calendar file the calendar became corrupt and prevented me from adding new calendars. Attempted Sunbird uninstall using Add/Remove Applications to remove Sunbird but the following dialog box text appears: "Cannot remove 'sunbird' One or more applications depend on sunbird. To remove sunbird and the dependent applications, use the Synaptic package manager." Restarted the OS, then tried Add/Remove Programs again and got the same prompt. Performed library dependency check for sunbird via ldd (output below): ldd /usr/lib/sunbird/sunbird-bin linux-gate.so.1 => (0xb800a000) libmozjs.so => not found libxpcom.so => not found libxpcom_core.so => not found libplds4.so => /usr/lib/libplds4.so (0xb7ff5000) libplc4.so => /usr/lib/libplc4.so (0xb7ff0000) libnspr4.so => /usr/lib/libnspr4.so (0xb7fba000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7fa1000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libdl.so.2 (0xb7f9c000) libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (0xb7beb000) libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 (0xb7b5e000) libatk-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so.0 (0xb7b43000) libpangoft2-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0 (0xb7b1a000) libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0 (0xb7aff000) libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 (0xb7af3000) libgio-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0 (0xb7a85000) libcairo.so.2 => /usr/lib/libcairo.so.2 (0xb7a0b000) libpango-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so.0 (0xb79c8000) libfreetype.so.6 => /usr/lib/libfreetype.so.6 (0xb7950000) libfontconfig.so.1 => /usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1 (0xb7923000) libgobject-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0 (0xb78e5000) libgmodule-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgmodule-2.0.so.0 (0xb78e0000) libglib-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 (0xb7828000) libX11.so.6 => /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 (0xb7738000) libgthread-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgthread-2.0.so.0 (0xb7732000) libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libm.so.6 (0xb770c000) libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 (0xb761d000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0xb760e000) libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xb74ab000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb800b000) libXext.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXext.so.6 (0xb749a000) libXrender.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXrender.so.1 (0xb7490000) libXinerama.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXinerama.so.1 (0xb748d000) libXi.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXi.so.6 (0xb7483000) libXrandr.so.2 => /usr/lib/libXrandr.so.2 (0xb747b000) libXcursor.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXcursor.so.1 (0xb7471000) libXcomposite.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXcomposite.so.1 (0xb746d000) libXdamage.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXdamage.so.1 (0xb746a000) libXfixes.so.3 => /usr/lib/libXfixes.so.3 (0xb7465000) libz.so.1 => /lib/libz.so.1 (0xb744f000) libpcre.so.3 => /lib/libpcre.so.3 (0xb741c000) libselinux.so.1 => /lib/libselinux.so.1 (0xb7402000) libpixman-1.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpixman-1.so.0 (0xb73bf000) libdirectfb-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libdirectfb-1.0.so.0 (0xb7359000) libfusion-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libfusion-1.0.so.0 (0xb7350000) libdirect-1.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libdirect-1.0.so.0 (0xb733a000) libpng12.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 (0xb7314000) libxcb-render-util.so.0 => /usr/lib/libxcb-render-util.so.0 (0xb730f000) libxcb-render.so.0 => /usr/lib/libxcb-render.so.0 (0xb7307000) libxcb.so.1 => /usr/lib/libxcb.so.1 (0xb72ed000) libexpat.so.1 => /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1 (0xb72c5000) librt.so.1 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/librt.so.1 (0xb72bc000) libXau.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXau.so.6 (0xb72b8000) libXdmcp.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXdmcp.so.6 (0xb72b3000) Output of about:buildconfig: about:buildconfig Build platform target i686-pc-linux-gnu Build tools Compiler Version Compiler flags cc gcc version 4.3.3 (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) -Wall -W -Wno-unused -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -W -Wno-long-long -pedantic -g -fno-strict-aliasing -pthread -pipe g++ gcc version 4.3.3 (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) -fno-rtti -fno-exceptions -Wall -Wconversion -Wpointer-arith -Woverloaded-virtual -Wsynth -Wno-ctor-dtor-privacy -Wno-non-virtual-dtor -Wcast-align -Wno-long-long -pedantic -g -fno-strict-aliasing -fshort-wchar -pthread -pipe Configure arguments --build=i486-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr '--includedir=${prefix}/include' '--mandir=${prefix}/share/man' '--infodir=${prefix}/share/info' --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var '--libexecdir=${prefix}/lib/xulrunner-1.9' --disable-maintainer-mode --disable-dependency-tracking --srcdir=. --enable-system-cairo --enable-system-sqlite --with-system-nspr --with-system-nss --enable-application=xulrunner --enable-extensions=xml-rpc,venkman,inspector,gnomevfs,cview,tasks,reporter,python/xpcom --enable-webservices --enable-safe-browsing --with-default-mozilla-five-home=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.13 --enable-startup-notification --with-user-appdir=.mozilla --without-system-jpeg --with-system-zlib=/usr --with-system-bz2=/usr --enable-system-hunspell --disable-javaxpcom --disable-crashreporter --disable-elf-dynstr-gc --disable-installer --disable-strip --disable-strip-libs --disable-install-strip --disable-tests --disable-mochitest --disable-updater --enable-optimize --with-distribution-id=com.ubuntu Posted this information on Bugzilla under Sunbird at: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=509320 First responder stated: "This looks more like an issue with ubuntu's package system/dependencies?
