This is very weird indeed as I can no longer reproduce the issue (it was
simply opening System Monitor and it wouldn't close when clicking on the
X). I bet there have been some upgrades to some of the dependent
packages, which is my only explanation for it working now.

Closing this bug for now, and will re-open if the issue re-appears.

mm this is weird, the trace is a bit different from the last one (no
dbus symbols this time), may you please install the gvfs dbgsym ones
(among with libgtk2, libglib2 dbgsym) and get another one, there's still
some symbols missing. Thanks Greg!
