This is likely the same bug as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/370999. Burning progress over 2 gigabytes fails. That bug references upstream bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=582261, which indicates it is fixed in 2.26.3. FYI: I could not duplicate this in Ubuntu 8.10 (Brasero version 0.8.2-0ubuntu1).
