Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
I have my computer joined to a Microsoft domain which has a 90 day password change policy. When my account gets within 14 days of that password expired time, I get a "Your password will expire in 14 days" at the Ubuntu terminal login (Alt-F1) and when I originally log into Ubuntu I see a quick flash of the same message. However, when I come back to my computer after the screensaver has kicked in and I have set the screensaver to lock, I can't log into the desktop until I change my password at a Windows machine. If I click on switching users, I can log into the same desktop session by typing my same domain\username and password at a gdm type login. sudo and gksudo work just fine during this time.
