Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy
In Karmic Empathy has been altered to use the message indicator, however this also means that unlike with "regular" empathy you cannot hide the buddylist and summon it at will. It would be nice if consideration was given to designing a way to enjoy use of the indicator without also having to have the buddylist open at all times cluttering the interface.
