[Bug 509411] Re: lock doesn't lock when gnome-screensaver not running in the background

[Bug 509411] Re: lock doesn't lock when gnome-screensaver not running in the background
gnome-screensaver is a session agent designed to be started when you log in, as it's needed for monitoring the session idle-ness and automatically activating the screensaver. It doesn't need to be activated when you try to lock the screen, as it should already be running. The other points you make are separate issues with the session applet ** Changed in: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- lock doesn't lock when gnome-screensaver not running in the background https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509411 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 509411] Re: lock doesn't lock when gnome-screensaver not running in the background
See Chris' comment #6 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/509411/comments/6). The stated problems seem to be mainly a problem of indicator-session. Could this bug be transformed into a Wishlist/Feature Request? ** Package changed: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) = indicator-session (Ubuntu) -- lock doesn't lock when gnome-screensaver not running in the background https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509411 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
