Upstream bug was closed "RESOLVED OBSOLETE" on 2017-07-17 as working as expected with evince 3.26. Here it is a small video... it can be seen that first, when the page view on the left do not need to scroll the functioning of evince is correct. When the page view scrolls (with the cursor in the right pane) there is an error when trying to go back to the first page.
