Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

Was experimenting with Gnome-Shell
did a sudo apt-get install
turned off all extrend graphics.
replaced shell
played in shell notice a few minor glitchs. when ever I right click to get a
menu on the screen there was a horizonal line running through it, and all the
words were in the wrong place, could not highlight anything

exited out of terminal to end the gnome shell, and system did not return
to normal...

about to do a hard reboot, and purge shell from my system.. (Looks
great, cool feel to it, can't wait to see the end product)
