How to reproduce (I'm on Quantal): This results in an arrow as big as the icon: $ ln -s /usr/share/icons/Humanity/apps/32/bash.svg . $ nautilus . I'm sorry, I dind't mean about that image. I need the small image you use to create the symbolic link. So I can create a symbolic link here and check if the arrow that nautilus draw cover the thumbnail of the original image. (is that your problem?)
