We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response
from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please
feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could,
please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this
confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.

[Bug 542809] Re: all mp3 songs removed from que on start of music player

2010-03-28 Thread GnuShoes
I am only concerned because one PC did not require me to mount the drive
first while the second PC required me to mount the drive. The simplicity
of Ubuntu (Not having to go to the terminal as often as some of the
other Linux releases) is one of it's outstanding traits.

[Bug 542809] Re: all mp3 songs removed from que on start of music player

2010-03-27 Thread GnuShoes
Yes, you are correct. With the last install of Rhythmbox in Jaunty I did
not have to mount the drive that the MP3s were on before using Rythmbox.
Since I switched PCs, and reinstalled Jaunty on the new PC, I now have
to mount the drive to keep the song list intact... or explained another
way, I manually mount the drive first so I don't lose everything in my
song list when I go into Ryhthmbox. I am somewhat new so I do not
understand fstab. I have not installed or run Lucid yet.

2010-03-24 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
if i understand correctly, are you expecting that rhythmbox should be
able to mount that device for you instead of you doing that before hand
or put it at fstab to be automounted? Are you seeing that with lucid ?

2010-03-20 Thread GnuShoes
If I mount the drive BEFORE going into the rhythmbox music player, it
does not empty the que. With the Ubuntu build on my old PC, I did not
have to mount the drive before starting the player, thus this report.
