Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Open nautilus in a terminal as root (sudo nautilus) then close out of
nautilus. The terminal does not return to its normal state as expected,
it acts as if nautilus is still running. This makes it impossible to do
anything else in that terminal, you must close it and open a new one.
