Thank you for your quick response. Currently I am running form a Live- USB, and 'apt-get upgrade' seems to fail for this reason. The document at the link you provided looks OK here. This bug seems to have been fixed in poppler 0.12.4-0ubuntu3, which has since been superseded by poppler 0.12.4-0ubuntu4.
