[Bug 566784] Re: several of the plugins seem to be dissabled or have missing paths

2010-09-05 Thread uberreicher
I am still having this problem and have yet to find a solution for it.
Brasero keeps telling me there is an internal error. When I read the
error log it tells me that an there was an unsupported type of task
operation. Can someone please find a solution to this?

I am using 10.04 and getting the same error. Un-installing and re-
installing cdrdao does not help; Brasero still reports it missing.
Waah. (Pity to have to use a *cough* Windows machine for CD burning.)

going into gconf and turning stuff on is not a solution - unless
everything works when everything is turned on (which i am prone to
do).

2010-07-13 Thread TonyR
Hi

Is these a fix for this problem which is a MAJOR bug in a core part of
the system functionality.

I'm not clear how end users are supposed to know what plugins to turn on
and off.

Should'nt simple disk copy not just simply COPY and how can this be so
BROKEN?

[Bug 566784] Re: several of the plugins seem to be dissabled or have missing paths

2010-06-08 Thread zhalim
The greyed out plugins listing is by design. I've found out after reading the
README file from the source package from gnome site.
It was under the Notes on plugins for advanced users.
It states :

1. configuration

From the UI you can only configure (choose to use or not to use mostly) non
essential plugins; that is all those that don't burn, blank, or image.
If you really want to choose which of the latters you want brasero to use, one
simple solution is to remove the offending plugin from brasero plugin directory
(install_path/lib/brasero/plugins/) if you're sure that you won't want to use
it.
You can also set priorities between plugins. They all have a hardcoded priority
that can be overriden through Gconf. Each plugin has a key in
/apps/brasero/config/priority.
If you set this key to -1 this turns off the plugin.
If you set this key to 0 this leaves the internal hardcoded priority - the
default that basically lets brasero decide what's best.
If you set this key to more than 0 then that priority will become the one of
the plugin - the higher, the more it has chance to be picked up.

Hope this helps.

[Bug 566784] Re: several of the plugins seem to be dissabled or have missing paths

2010-05-23 Thread Nick
I am having this problem (or similar) when trying to make a 1:1 disc
image copy on 10.04.

Basically I was told the system was missing toc2cue and cdrdao, and that
they had to be installed manually. I installed cdrdao OK but for toc2cue
I get this message from console: 'Couldn't find any package whose name
or description matched toc2cue'.

Upon attempting to do a 1:1 disc image copy after that I get the message:
All required applications and libraries are not installed.

Please install the following manually and try again:

but there are no dependencies listed now.

My specifications basically match those of the thread creator above
although I'm using the final release 10.04 with all updates.

Using Lucid Lynx 64 bit on Dell Inspiron.
For now Brasero dosesn't do anything, apart from asking for software that isn
there.
Gnome CD master dosn't see CD devices.
If you have the same problem and you are desperate use good old Gnomebaker. At
least I could copy a CD with it.
