[Bug 567176] Re: Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder
closing the bug since that's not a nautilus one ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 567176] Re: Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder
I've been investigating the bug and I think it is now definitely related to the current version of "backintime" that is causing the bug. I'm using the backintime from the testing repository https://launchpad.net /~bit-team/+archive/testing and it looks more promising (better). Please can you close this bug and make it related to the backintime bug, would that be possible? -- Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

@Elly: thanks for the feedback. Do you have the same issue when navigating local folders or is it limited to the external drive? -- Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 567176] Re: Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder
Reproducible - oh yes! Connect a USB drive, e.g. MaxtorOneTouch (500GB drive) and then when Ubuntu detects the connected USB, click on the USB icon on the desktop or click on Places then Home Folder, either step you can see the USB drive connected. Click on it and click on sub folders etc, it greys out and takes a while to look into folder. I do backup regularly using the BackInTime application to this USB drive - I don't think it has anything to do with it but just thought I would mention it. Anyway, it freezes and I end up having to reboot. ** Attachment added: "Nautilus - trying to close it" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/44890533/Nautilus%20Screenshot-Untitled%20Window.png -- Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 567176] Re: Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions: * Is this reproducible? * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? This will help us to find and resolve the problem. In particular, can you describe the exact actions you took and what happened. How did you open Nautilus? What folder did you try to click or double-click in Nautilus? If it is difficult to explain, do not hesitate to include screen shots. Finally, as this is a beta version, I would suggest you perform an update of all package. For this, go to System -> Administration -> Update Manager, click on "Check" to ensure that you have the latest updates and click on "Install Updates" to download and install them all. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
