Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Due to some filters, I've set up, evolution stops functioning:

1) At the bottom it shows two processes (filtering 0%, receiving) which
do neither succeed nor throw an error. I'm also unable to stop them by
using the little stop buttons. Just nothing happens, no errors on
console.

2) Probably a result from 1): In this condition, evolution is unable to
quit. Hitting the close button (or menu>quit) results in all the GUI
beeing grayed out. However, evolution stays in this condition. This
seems to be caused by the first problem, as evolution always runs some
processes before actually closing, after these have finished. Usually
this is less than a second, but due to the infinite running processes
the job queue doen't clear and evolution waits?

Why are the filters the problem?

a) I deactivated several accounts (actually, I have 4 active accounts, 2 pop, 2
imap) round-robin (killall evolution, restarted), but the filtering process
remained at 0%, however the infinite receiving process is now gone.
b) I deactivated all filters - problem gone. Reactivated all my accounts, no
problem.

I'll now try to trace back, which filter is causing the problem and
report back here.

Best
    Patrick
