You have been subscribed to a public bug: GTK has a feature to resize the window so it fits the content. This is usually a good feature, but in case the content is bigger than the screen the window jumps back and forth by just left clicking. The only way to exit a such program is to press Alt+F4; the mouse can't be used. (Left clicking the close button makes the window jump.)
The application QtOctave is one example. On a screen of 1024x600 (netbook), this application can't be used. See Screenshots. I only press left mouse button between the images. If I press twice I get the same position of the window again. This happens also if you use Anjuta and have many tabs downwards. ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gtk application window resizes bigger that screen makes useless https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/616966 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
