As far as I can tell alacarte never broke the actual .desktop file, it just rendering it's contents incorrectly. Example : wine explorer /desktop=FlashFXP,1250x920 C:\Program Files\Radmin\radmin.exe This command would have the \r from \radmin.exe converted to a carriage return. Obviously the command no longer works after editing it with alacarte.
