I had the issue in Edgy. That said, I cannot test as I am now in Feisty. The patch will not be committed to the 2.16 branch. It should work and not break anything though. This is now fixed in CVS HEAD. I have a patch for the gnome-2-16 branch at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348209.
