Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
I could not save default display settings using gnome-display- properties. Clicking the "make default" button asks for authorization and fails to complete successfully. A popup dialog is displayed with the following message "Could not set the default configuration for monitors" Looking at the console output I can see this messages being logged: (gnome-display-properties:1665): Gtk-WARNING **: Ignoring the separator setting (gnome-display-properties:1665): Gtk-WARNING **: No object called: /etc/gnome-settings-daemon/xrandr must be a directory ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: gnome-control-center 1:2.31.92.1-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.33-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Sep 21 14:22:05 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Alpha amd64 (20100920) ProcEnviron: LANG=pl_PL.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-control-center ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- Unable to save default display settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/644312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
