Binary package hint: gdm

Using following open source drivers with Ubuntu 10.04 2.6.32-25-generic
and gfx card nVidia Corporation G86 [GeForce 8600M GS] (rev a1) with HP laptop
nvidia-current
nv,
nouveau,
resulted minor problems -  2d artifacts and X crash after 1h - a few days
from Xorg.0.log
[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.

X and the whole ubuntu crashes ( reboot, unresponsive keyboard, vertical
stripes on the screen )
Downgrading  Ubuntu to 2.30.0-0ubuntu5  resolved this problem
