There has been no more dupe since that report back to 2010 (3 years ago) A newer apport report still can be sent with all the required details, if that issue comes back. So closing that one. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: Incomplete = Opinion ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: Opinion = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680242 Title: Change of system proxy requires passwd x2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-control-center/+bug/680242/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Confirmed. This has bugged me since forever. Perhaps could launch the entire proxy settings program as root to prevent needing to authenticate at the end. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: New = Confirmed -- Change of system proxy requires passwd x2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680242 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
