This is not really a new version per se, but a new release of the same version. I'd recommend against uploading 2.0.0beta4. There were some regressions in beta4. thank you for the comment Richard, it happens that new version bring regressions like that, that's why we don't update packages to new version for stable. Well, libnm-glib causing gaim to hang infinitely on startup is a bad regression. This affects Dapper, so it might cause problems for Edgy. They'd have to be careful to disable libnm support until we fix that. There are some more, Sean or Luke would know more.
