How about the phantatstic Fusion-Icon. Don' really know if this works it makes me worry. (think it shouldn't be in there for Natty). Package search reveals: it's installable in V 1.0.2 s i n c e KarmicKoala but be careful about bug #192389 My solution ist log off / login simply with selection no effects. S'thing like a switcher doesn't seem 2be possible due 2the Concept of Unity. This should be easily possible, even with Unity. It isn't a magic trick to find out if an instance of Unity is running. It should be possible to do things that worked before.
