Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media
I want to use gnome-sound-recorder to record from various audio devices; webcam/microphones and sound cards. Gnome-sound-recorder has now way to select the device, at least it's totally impossible to record from multiple microphones at the same time. I have seen a patch to the gnome-sound-recorder that had a device selection listbox, but it's not in the current version. Very important, urgent suggestion: Replace gnome-sound-recorder with "audio-recorder". It can record from multiple devices and records also Skype-calls etc. etc. Please see: https://launchpad.net/audio-recorder ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: gnome-media-common 2.32.0-0ubuntu6 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-7.39-generic 2.6.38 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-7-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Apr 4 12:41:52 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Beta amd64 (20110402) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-media UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-media (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug natty running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-media in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/750159 Title: Cannot set recording device in gnome-sound-recorder.
