Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero
Using Brasero to copy three small text files to CD. Brasero initially claims a successful burn, but the checksum fails. When the CD is inserted into any computer, nothing happens - it doesn't claim that the CD is blank (and opens the computer's CD burning app) nor does it show any data. All computers (both Ubuntu and Windows) behave as if no CD has been inserted. Tried with a USB DVD burner and the same thing happened. Also changed from a CD-R to a CD-RW and the same happened again.
