I finally gave up on Rhythmbox and I am sticking with Guayadeque. You can sort static playlists AND you can export/import radio station lists, and it doesn't crash on me like Banshee always has. I recommend the PPA version instead of the default repository version, as Guayadeque is *gasp* actively developed. And you don't have to add plugins to record streams or search the Shoutcast directory; it seems like these items were baked in from the start. I've also tried Audacious, Clementine, Amarok and Exaile, but I keep coming back to Guayadeque for its combination of features and stability. I am done app-hopping now. I deal with a very large playlist at work (3000+). I like rearranging the order of upcoming songs, but the list's scroll position jumps when you start to drag. Has this been changed to work with Jaunty? (I have not tried the above fix yet). I ditched using the program for a while because of this maddening bug. I'd really like to see this bug fixed. Oftentimes if you drag songs into a playlist, it will end up getting out of order. (especially if you do a drag selection) If sorting were implemented, you could simply click the track column and be done with it, but instead you have to tediously drag each song into place. And since there's also a bug with dragging songs in long playlists (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/403389) it can get very difficult indeed... _ This is a very basic functionality and should be implemented in any serious program that includes a list view. To me it's necessary, I usually add the music to the Play Queue from the Recently added list, where the albums ain't ordered according to the track number, so I just want to be able to reorganize the tracks in the play Queue. I am indifferent Sergey. As it is a queue I think sorting it could be confusing, such as what happens to the currently playing song. If it moves to the middle, where will play resume? And would rhythmbox even behave gracefully in that case? This is still a problem in 0.11.5. It is quite frustrating as I am trying very hard to get an alternative to iTunes, but there is nothing in the Linux world that does everything that iTunes does. Rhythmbox seems the closest but simple things like sorting and library file organising are sorely missing. Get those sorted and you have a Linux iTunes real alternative. I can confirm this still exists in Hardy Alpha 5, with Rhythmbox 0.11.4, which I assume will be the final version in Hardy. The bugzilla bug seems active and there have been a recent patch or two proposed so that is promising at least.
