Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
[feisty uptodate on 16 feb (about a couple of week that this happens)] login correctly with gdm. (happens with or without the windows decorators (beryl, etc) Everything works perfectly if i don't connect to internet (throught eth0 and ethernet modem -> rp-pppoe) As soon as i connect (pppd running) 2 things can happen? 1. if i go over any menu with mouse pointer in gnome-panel taskbars it freezes. every else continue to work but it. if i disconnect and killall gnome-panel and restart it, everything come back to normality. (I can kill it becouse i have a terminal opened) 2 if i want to open a contextual menu with right mouse button or on a window with left or right mouse button gdm freezes. i need to restart it (CTRL-ALT-BS) open the emergency terminal, killall gnome-panel, disconnect and login again and everything come back. Need to do this every time i connect to internet with pon. Hope this would help!
